Becca and Ben Breakfield, founders of Soldotna Sit & Stay, have built their lives around structure, leadership, and a deep love for dogs. What began as a passion for providing exceptional boarding quickly evolved into something more, helping families build better communication and clarity with their dogs.
Through years of hands-on experience working with dogs of all temperaments in a structured boarding environment, they saw a consistent pattern: most behavior issues weren’t about “bad dogs,” but about unclear expectations and inconsistent leadership.
That realization led them to develop their Board & Train program, an immersive, real-world training experience focused on calm obedience, impulse control, and practical results that transfer home.

Our Packages
Our 2 Week Foundation Board & Train program is designed to build reliable obedience and establish clear structure in a focused, immersive environment.
During their stay, your dog will live in a fully structured routine and work directly with our trainers seven days a week. Consistency is the key to real progress and this program provides daily repetition, clear communication, and hands-on guidance to help your dog understand expectations and build lasting habits.
Throughout the program, your dog will receive multiple structured training sessions each day, along with supervised practice in real-life environments.
This foundation program focuses on:
Sit
Down
Stay
Place command (calm on a designated bed)
Recall (come when called)
Crate manners
Impulse control(Leave it)
Building neutrality around distractions
Our goal is not just compliance, it’s clarity. By the end of the two weeks, your dog will have a strong obedience foundation and a better understanding of structure, boundaries, and calm behavior.
We also include a go-home session to ensure you feel confident maintaining and reinforcing your dog’s new skills.
Our 3-Week Complete Board & Train program is designed for deeper transformation and long-term reliability.
During their stay, your dog will live in a fully structured environment and work directly with our trainers seven days a week. Through consistent daily guidance, repetition, and real-world exposure, we focus on creating calm, reliable obedience that carries over into everyday life.
This immersive program includes multiple structured training sessions each day, along with supervised practice in controlled and real-world environments. The additional week allows us to increase difficulty, proof behaviors around higher distractions, and strengthen consistency before your dog returns home.

The third week allows us to move beyond foundation and focus on polish, building reliability around distractions, reinforcing boundaries, and strengthening your dog’s ability to remain calm and responsive in real-life situations.
This program includes a comprehensive go-home session where we teach you how to maintain the structure and results. Because lasting change depends on clear communication at home, not just during training.
